It's time to plant, plant, plant.  Get those new bushes and trees, including
balled and burlapped trees, into the ground now.
Fertilize your pansies and violas with 10-10-10.
Keep your lawn looking neat and clean. Use the vacuum attachment on your
lawnmower to pick up leaves and pinestraw.  Use this chopped up mulch as
an excellent base in your bedding areas.
Apply pre-emergents to established lawns to help prevent weeds this
summer.
When the danger of frost has passed, aerate, overseed and fertilize your
fescue lawn.
Plant cool season vegetables in mid-month.  Prepare your summer garden
spot when the ground is workable and not too wet.
Watch out for ants and grub worms in the lawn. Apply a good commercial
pesticide or bait.
Don't forget to feed your feathered friends!  Use squirrel proof feeders filled
with black oil sunflower seeds to attract a wide variety of birds. Use suet
feeders for the woodpeckers and thistle feeders for the finches. Give them
plenty of fresh water.
