Don't cut your lawn too short.  Raise the height of your mowing deck.  Lawns
cut too low will stress under the heat of the summer sun and will become
susceptible to disease, weeds and pests.
Give your warm weather annuals a little maintenance.  Pinch back and prune
leggy growth. Watch out for slugs and apply a good commercial bait if
necessary. Give them an application of 10-10-10 fertilizer.
Fertilize your bermuda lawn with 10-10-10 fertilizer, too.
Treat your lawn for weeds.  Apply a good commercial weed killer or hire
Greensweep to apply a liquid weed killer.
Spray those pesky weeds in your bedding areas, walkways and street curbs.
Give your bedding areas a fresh layer of mulch.
Monitor you summer garden. Watch for evidence of disease and insect
infestation and treat accordingly. You may still plant late season vegetable
and fruit seeds or seedlings in the next week or two.
Give your bushes and trees a good trimming and pruning.
Watch out for ants in the lawn. Apply a good commercial pesticide or bait.
Spread a layer around the perimeter of your house, too.
Don't forget to feed your feathered friends!  Use squirrel proof feeders filled
with black oil sunflower seeds to attract a wide variety of birds. Use suet
feeders for the woodpeckers and thistle feeders for the finches. Give them
plenty of fresh water.
